The rustproofing treatment is far from being a luxury for your vehicle because, in addition to protecting the bodywork from salt and calcium, rustproofing will protect certain mechanical pieces such as the brake line hoses, the fuel supply hoses, and the gas tank, which are very vulnerable to corrosion.
Summer is the best time of the year to protect your vehicle and prepare it for winter. In summer, the heat warms the metal of the bodywork, which becomes hot enough for the rustproofing to slip into the recesses of the panels more quickly than in winter, which minimizes the risk of corrosion in these areas.
At Protech-Shine we offer 2 types of rustproofing: an annual rustproofing treatment and a permanent rustproofing treatment.

This protection is the best-known rustproof treatment in Quebec, and it has proven its effectiveness over the years.
SOME ADVANTAGES:
- A combination of 2 mineral oils mixed with paraffin
- does not flow
- does not cause bad odours.
During the treatment, which takes 15 to 45 minutes, the technician will drill the bodywork at strategic places in order to apply the product in: the hood, the fenders, the sills, the doors, the trunk, the hinges, and underneath the vehicle.
Permanent
This permanent rustproofing treatment is for 5 or 10 years (exclusive to new vehicles).
It is perfect for a new gasoline or electric vehicle.
SOME ADVANTAGES:
- No drill will be done on your vehicle;
- you will maintain the dealer’s warranty;
- better resistance against impacts to the underside of the vehicle.
- You have free annual inspections, and the touch-ups will be free of charge. (For a 5-year rustproofing treatment, we offer 4 annual inspections. For a 10-year treatment exclusive to new vehicles, we offer 9 annual inspections.)
- If you sell your vehicle, the inspections are transferable to the buyer.
The application of the treatment can take from half a day to a full day.
